Un Halloween ¡de miedo!
Esta noche como cada año Halloween se hace un hueco en nuestro ajetreado calendario, ya que a pesar de ser una celebración americana cada vez gana más adeptos en nuestro país.
Pequeños y mayores celebran una de las fiestas más divertidas y con más sustos del año en la que es costumbre disfrazarse de esqueleto, brujas, vampiros, zombies y todo un sinfín de personajes terroríficos. ¿Pero sabes de dónde proviene esa tradición?
El termino Halloween proviene de “All Hallows Eve” que traducido significa “Víspera de todos los Santos”. Los orígenes de esta festividad al contrario de lo que se pueda pensar están en nuestro continente, gracias a los celtas. Estaba relacionado con la festividad celta de Samhain que marcaba el final del verano, la recogida de las cosechas y el comienzo del nuevo Año.
Con el desembarco en el siglo XIX de los irlandeses en EEUU y Cánada esta festividad se fue transformando en lo que conocemos actualmente. Una noche mágica en la que todo tipo de seres terroríficos se pasean por las calles de puerta en puerta pidiendo golosinas, en una versión del “truco o trato”.
